On the afternoon of Wednesday, 22 January and Tuesday, 11 February, two important workshops will take place. After the successful first workshop in Delft, we continue to gather information for designing action agendas for three of the ten technologies from the National Technology Strategy (NTS), namely:
1. Optics and integrated photonics
2. Imaging technology
3. (Opto)Mechatronics
These three technologies are described in the NTS, published earlier this year by the Ministry of Ec
onomic Affairs as a building block for innovation policy. The workshop aims to translate these three technologies into actions. We want to do this together with companies that apply and co-develop these technologies. This provides the basis for an action agenda: a package of proposed actions that help companies implement concrete improvement steps and innovations. This action agenda will be offered free of charge to all stakeholders and the government at the beginning of 2025. And: it will also be updated periodically so that it remains a current action agenda.
These workshops are being conducted with the Regional Development Companies, together with Holland High Tech, partly commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Specifically for these three technologies, the sessions are being supported in terms of content by PhotonicsNL, PhotonDelta, Optics Netherlands and TNO, the interest groups in the field of photonics, optics, and integrated photonics, and the advisory organisation Wederic.

We hope for a large turnout!
PhotonicsNL is the unique portal for the Photonics community in the Netherlands. Photonics is worldwide being recognized as a key enabling technology for the 21st century and especially in Europe by the European Commission and in the Netherlands by the Topsector High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM).
