Last February 16, the royal Queen of the Netherlands, Maxima visited the photonics center research Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir Institute (EHCI), showing great interest. During the visit, the Queen and the other participants discussed the strong position in the field of photonics and what is needed to maintain and expand that position. Simone Cardarelli (MicroAlign) showed the Queen the lab where MicroAlign works and the demo. He explained the importance of accurate fiber array alignment to improve the performance of photonic devices.
