Held on 2 June, this inaugural edition welcomed the broader Photonics & Optics community, bringing together around 30 participants for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Thomas Obeloer, who delivered an insightful presentation on working with diamond materials, which was an eye-opener for many of the attendees. Followed by inspiring company pitches given by the new members of PhotonicsNL, Dalessi, NLR, and SMC, and valuable information from RVO on funding opportunities.

Mintres also provided an in-depth introduction to the company, and participants enjoyed meaningful conversations over a delicious, fresh pizza lunch.

Attendees greatly enjoyed connecting with members of the PhotonicsNL community, particularly those attending for the first time. Non-members expressed enthusiasm about joining and becoming part of the community, highlighting the welcoming and engaging atmosphere of the event. Let’s not forget the delicious pizza that was served as lunch!
